🏛️ Who Is Onboard3?
Onboard3 Credentials (onboard3.io) is a blockchain-based credential verification platform operated by BlockUserve, a US-registered company. We help graduates, licensed professionals, and credential holders create permanent, publicly verifiable records of their achievements.
When a graduate or alumnus submits their credential through our platform, we contact their institution to verify the credential is authentic before anchoring it permanently on the Polygon blockchain. Your confirmation is what makes the record trustworthy.
📋 What We're Asking You to Confirm
Our verification requests are simple and narrow in scope. We only ask:
✓Did this person receive the degree or credential listed?
✓Is the credential title and graduation/completion date accurate?
We do NOT request: transcripts, GPA, coursework records, disciplinary history, financial information, or any detail beyond basic credential confirmation.
⚖️ FERPA Authorization
Every verification request we send includes a signed student authorization letter. Before we contact your office, the student has:
→Reviewed the full text of the authorization letter
→Typed their legal name as an electronic signature
→Confirmed their agreement with a timestamped checkbox
→Authorized Onboard3 to contact your office specifically
This authorization is made pursuant to the student's rights under FERPA (20 U.S.C. § 1232g) to designate a third party to receive their education records. The full signed letter, including the student's electronic signature, IP address, and timestamp, is attached to every verification request email we send.
✉️ How to Respond
Simply reply to the verification request email. A one-line response is all we need:
"Confirmed — [Student Name] received a [Degree] from [Institution] in [Year]."
Or if you cannot confirm: "Not confirmed" with a brief reason is equally helpful. We understand that some requests may not match your records — your honest response in either direction is appreciated.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions
Is this request legitimate?
Yes. Onboard3 Credentials is operated by BlockUserve, a registered US company. You can verify our platform at onboard3.io and contact us at registrars@onboard3.io. You can also visit blockuserve.com to learn more about our company. Every request includes a signed student authorization letter.
Are we required to respond?
No. Your response is voluntary. If you choose not to respond, the student's credential will be marked as "Pending Primary Source Verification" in our system. The student is aware that institutional confirmation strengthens their record.
Does responding cost our institution anything?
No. There is no cost whatsoever to respond to a verification request. If your institution is interested in becoming an issuer, we have volume pricing starting at $0.99 per credential — but that's entirely optional.
What happens to the information we provide?
We use your confirmation only to verify the specific credential listed in the request. We do not store, sell, or share your response beyond what's needed to update the applicant's verification record on our platform.
Can we set up a direct integration to avoid individual requests?
